Question:When should I book a florist and decorator?
Answer:Usually 3-4 months is enough time, but it's good to start the process 6 mths to a year ahead so you have lots of time to find someone you like and want to work with. Many florists and decorators get booked a year ahead because brides want to ensure they are available for their wedding date.

Question:How do I pick a florist/decorator that's right for me?
Answer:Word of mouth is the most reliable way to finding the best florist/decorator. This means you've talked to someone who has used their services and can vouch for their hands on experience. When you meet this florist/decorator you can then decide if you feel comfortable with their creativity and imagination and trust them to help you achieve your vision for your wedding day.

Question:What are the benefits of having a decorator?
Answer:Decorators make your wedding day hassle free. They create the look and feel you want for your wedding without you having to do the work. They will co-ordinate with your venues to set up decorations, flowers, centerpieces etc... then go back and remove them all the next day. All you have to do is get married!

Question:How do I co-ordinate my flowers and decorating with my wedding colors and style?
Answer:Having a creative florist/decorator is key. They can help you figure out your style whether it's fun and funky, simple and elegant or traditional. Then they can transform your flowers and decorating using your colors to create a complimentary color scheme.

Question:How can I stick to my budget while still getting the look I want.
Answer:A good florist/decorator should be able to work with any budget within reason. Avoiding holidays such as; Valentines day, Mother's Day and Christmas when flowers tend to be more expensive will help. Picking flowers that are in season will also help with cost. Extend the use of your ceremony flowers by bringing them to the reception. Using less flowers and more greenery also cuts costs.

Question:How can I add personal touches to my wedding.
Answer:Adding touches like beads or crystals to your bouquet to match your dress makes it very unique. Using a family emblem or crest helps your guests feel connected to you. Choose favors using something people will be instantly reminded of you such as: golf balls, tea bags, m&m's, etc... Use a specific color that people will relate to you.

Question:What color flowers look best in photos and how should I hold my bouquet?
Answer:In general dark flowers against dark colors get lost in a picture. The same goes for white on white. For black and white photos contrast is good so a bold bouquet against a white dress would be stunning. You should always hold your bouquet at a 90 degree angle and at waist height so it looks natural and doesn't cover the bodice of your dress.
